So what is the deal with the Jet Funnel?

Do they have them for the USP40?
Do you need different mags, or can you retrofit your existing? (I have hi-caps)
Does anyone have the website where you could order one?
Does a smith have to install it, or could I do it myself?

Pics would be great!

1.  The jet funnel is just a flaired magazine well that attaches to the bottom of the grip by the lanyard loop.
2. With the JF in place, you MUST use the increased capacity "white" mags, 18 rounds in 9mm, 16 rounds in .40.  Normal cap mags or neutered mags will not lock in.  The white mags are about 1/2 inch longer in the body.
3.  Mark at TROS has them or if he is out, try Robert Johnson.
4.  It is a 45 second job.  Unload pistol and remove magazine.  Cock the hammer and pull the trigger.  Do not use the decocker because the hammer must be all the way forward.
Using a small punch, no hammer needed, while pushing up on the lanyard loop push out the lanyard loop pin.  Remove lanyard loop.  Replace with JF lanyard loop, push up and stick back in the pin.  The JF comes with a very tight fitting pin but I always use the normal pin.  It goes in easier and holds just as well.
Then all you do is put the JF in place and screw in the one screw.  Takes longer to type out than to do.

There is only one JF; it fits both the 9mm and .40 cals USP, it will not fit the Compacts.  While you can put the JF on a .45 there are no mags that will work with it and you have to do mods to the either the grip or make a spacer for the hammer strut as well as make mods to the mag floorplates.  This has been discussed before recently so if you want info on a JF on a .45 look at that tread.

Go to Robert Johnson's web page and look at the pictures he has of the JF there under "misc" items.

Same people.  E-mail them because neither lists the mags on their web sites but if anyone has the white mags they will.
