[ARCHIVED THREAD] - HK Weapon Light Mount Question

I just got my HK USP 45 Tactical and am looking at options for weapon lights and mounts. I prefer Surefire weapon lights. I see Surefire sells a mount to use with HK USPs, but I also noticed that GG&G makes a mount that, according to their website, is only for Streamlight and one other brand but not Surefire. Midway's sight indicates that the GG&G mount will work with Surefires.

Can you HK experts help clarify what mounts are available, for which flashlights? Which are the best ones? Your experiences, etc.?

I have a Streamlight TLR-1 on mine and is a fantastic fit with the supplied mount. The 3 is a bit smaller but not quite as bright.

I know Streamlights work, but I want to use Surefire X300s.

Midway claims Surefires will fit: "With the adapter rail installed, the operator may mount the Insight M3X/M6X, Streamlight, or Surefire weaponlights."

I'm trying to find out it if this is true.

I run a TLR-1 with the GGG mount. Have not had any issues, even had a kydex holster made for use

I just got a response from GG&G:

"We have tried Surefire 300 and they do not work. The 400 does work. The Streamlight models and ITI M series works."
