So I bought a new HK45T a couple weeks ago when I picked up my SWR Octane45.  My first 45, and first HK.  Took it out last weekend to shoot.  On the second mag it failed to completely eject one case.  I pulled back the slide to release the case and it had an o-ring around the shell.  Nothing wrong with the o-ring at all, and it is exactly like the one on the barrel and the extras that come with the gun.  But the o-ring on the barrel is still there.  Where did it come from?  Is there supposed to be a second ring somewhere?

Oh, and I shot another 100 rounds silenced with no problems.  What a friggin blast, and a great gun!!

That's just freaking weird. My guess is that one of the spare o-rings in the case got stuck in a mag somehow and ended up on the casing.

Good, that was my thought as well.  It had to be a random oring stuck somewhere.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something...

Thanks.

How did it function with the suppressor?

Avoid the urge to remove the O-ring and clean the groove. It's just makes them stretch and wear out faster.

It ran perfectly and was sooo much fun.  I debated between the HK, an FNX45, and a Sig, but the ergonomic grip of the HK won out.  I also intended to buy either black or the OD green, but the full FDE was the only HK45 my dealer had at the time, so I took it.  Gives me a reason to buy a black HK45 compact now.    I was also worried about the low sights with the silencer, but I always shoot with both eyes open and with the great sights on this gun you easily look right through the can and see the target clearly.  Low felt recoil, and quick target acquisition, and a nice trigger.  Although the double action is a bit of long pull.

Sig mosquito with the SWR Spectre II also. Both of the guns and cans were picked up on the same day, and I had a Ruger 22/45 Lite and Mossberg MVP Patrol 7.62 that I hadn't shot yet.  What a great day with a bunch of new toys!!

Will do Android, I didn't see a need to take it off when cleaning since it was nice and snug.  When it shows signs of wear I'll replace it.

Great choice on the Spectre 2, I just got mine a few weeks ago.  Great suppressor.

I Have a black HK45, I bought mine before the FDE came out

If they had an all FDE I would have got it

Nice pics

Are you saying you had a rubber O ring around the fired brass case?
Where was it located on the brass case?  How did it chamber and fire with that O ring on there?
You didn't notice that O ring when you loaded the magazine?

Where was it located on the brass case?  Just loosely around the case. The case was stuck in the slide and I could see the o-ring before I racked the slide.  It actually stayed on the case after it ejected and was laying on the ground.  Just enough lube on it that it kind of stuck to the case.

How did it chamber and fire with that O ring on there?  I'm assuming it did not, how could it?  I'm guessing the case somehow went through it while ejecting.

You didn't notice that O ring when you loaded the magazine?  Nope.  And I took the gun completely apart before shooing it.  And I was halfway through the mag when it happened.

Things that make you go HMMMM....???

How many orings come with the gun. I just got my HK 45T last night, and there were 4 spares (I already bought ten green ones elsewhere). If it comes with 5 spares, I may have a similar issue?
