With all these awesome single stacks hitting the market like the S&W shield or the Springfield XDs, wouldn't it be sweet to have a single stack HK P30?
Which HK would you like to see made a lot smaller? |

HK doesn't give a fuck what you want. ![]() The truth is they probably don't. I bet HK USA does but not HK. As for a single stack P30, that wouldn't make any sense as the P30 grip isn't optimized for conceal carry. It have to have a grip like the HK45C |

And I say that as someone who owns 3 HKs and carries on daily. I like their guns but they've never really cared about the civilian market. |

We should hate Colt for the same reasons then? Once again lets check out the timeline Due to HK prices and currency issues the HK 630,770,940 and SL6/7 rifles and HKP9S guns did not sell well in the United States. Too many Remington and 1911 buyers. 1989 HK 91/93/94s are banned from import 1993 HK SP89 is banned 1994 HK Compliant guns HK SR9, T TC and PSG-1 are banned with the AWB 1997-98 HK once again changes the HK SR9 to meet ATF standards only to have Bill Clinton sign an EO blocking from import and the rifles in customs were shipped back to Germany. This is the same EO that only allowed a few thousand Steyr USRs in the U.S. 1999-00 the HK SL8-1 is sold to limited sales, after the rifle had to be reworked from the SL8 which is allowed in Canada that uses G36 mags HK has stuck their neck out more for the American public more than any other firm, FN never tried to re import the FNC several times or Beretta making new AR70/90s When I ordered my HK MR556 the rep said that HK had a bunch of new porducts in the pipeline but they were worried with pending gun laws the are planning on putting guns on the back burner until they know what gun laws are passed. Granted this was right after the shooting and ARs were in full panic buying; but after burned so many times by the U.S. I do not blame HK for having reservations |

I might stand corrected. Thank you for the information. |

Get your hands on a nice P7 PSP or P7 M8 and then you will wonder why they don't keep making them other than the labor and cost. My P7 PSP will be a family heirloom right along side my Grandpa's Colt-S&W revolver's , Dad's High Power, and my Colt rail Gun. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk168/STOCKTA/IMG_1164.jpg The man knows. the P7 is a great gun for CCW. It isn't uber tactical, it isn't high capacity, but it meets all the needs and is a mechanical marvel. I have two P7/PSPs and love them. My wife even likes them. |

In that case Government sales > tiny usa civilian market |

Colt still makes single action revolvers. I had a customer order one in 44-40 and I told him it would be a LONG time before that gun ever ships. We are still waiting on the return of the Colt Delta for another customer.
It is interesting how much of the market Colt basically gave away. ARs, Cowboy Action and 1911s are some of the most popular firearms/shooting sports in the biz right now and at one point Colt was the only name to buy...now add up how many ARs and how many 1911s are sold each year and how few Colt sells. Colt was chasing Government contracts, which truth be told are great for planning a business because it is a known amount of money coming in; however you are correct that the buying public is FAR larger than state and federal contracts, yet both HK and Colt chase the easy money. Course I am saying this a guy who really enjoys his Colt ARs and Pythons but in truth...I am paying for the pony |
