Does anyone happen to make a calliber conversion .40 to 9 for any of the hk models.

EFK does but as with any conversion that uses a smaller sized case head (9mm) in a larger sized bolt face(.40), there may be extraction problems. When the extractor is new they usually work OK but as the extractor gets worn they tend to become jam-o-matics.

I have one of the 40-9 EFK barrels and it has been fine for range purposes. I'd say I get 1 or 2 stoppages every range trip (which is 200 rounds or so). I did buy 9mm mags to use with it.

Good info. Thank you.

Supposing you got a new barrel, will using 9mm ammo in a .40 gun cause any damage or wear to the extractor that will cause problems when reverting back to the .40 config?

I've had no issues and I have 3 40-9 converions (Sig 229, Glock 23, HK). In the long run extractors are cheap anyway.
