| Moderate on the difficulty scale, not as difficult as it is made out to be. There is one exception for me: The trigger return spring, that was a "Pains in my A-holes". |

Dare I ask WHY you wanted to get down to bare frame? A little home refinish job for CCW. The original finish was a little thin, the gun is 28 years old. I was more concerned with the backstrap and under the grips getting sweat soaked. I'm no mechanical wizard, but it really was not a difficult as it is made out to be. |

It's difficult due to the fact that there is almost nothing out on the interwebz to help you put it back together. Otherwise it's just trial and error. It is a very ingenious system. There are a few technical/armorer manuals but they all lack the critical step by step instructions. The issue I had with the trigger return spring was the armorer manual just said "ensure the spring is in proper relationship to the sear", in the original German manual it most likely spelled out exactly what needed to be done. I used a combination of the P7M13 tech manual, a armorer course slide show (both on the internets) and the parts diagram in my user manual. |
