Hey everyone I had a couple of questions about the H&K P30 and I was wondering if somebody could help me. I am looking at buying my first H&K, the P30 model and because of the cost of the gun I just want to make sure I make the right decision. I seen a couple of reviews on youtube and read in some forums that some guys were having issues with the bottom of the trigger guard where it sticks up a little bit. They said it was rubbing on their finger when they were pulling the trigger and it was bothering them. Has anyone had this problem and if so is it just a miner issue? Also how is the pistol overall I have read many great reviews about it and is it worth the extra money?

Thanks

I have logged over 30,000 rounds through my P30's and experience no problems with the trigger trough.  It's how your index fingers engages the trigger in regards wot whether or not you'll have problems.

I just bought a used P30 that has had the trigger trough sanded out, and from dry firing, i can already tell that I like my p30 with the trough better.

My thought and findings as well. I don't have anywhere near that round count, but never even noticed it until it was mentioned in this post.

Here's a pic of mine showing the trigger guard inner hump, trough, whatever. No issue at all for me..

I've only put just a scant few hundred rounds through my P30 after having bought it about a month ago. But I have no problems at all with the trigger guard, nor have I heard of that problem. Go with the P30, and you'll not regret it.

I have heard about this from several people on HK Pro.  However, as stated it depends on your finger placement.  I for one have never had an issue with the first 1800 rounds fired through it.  Great pistol that will not let you down.

Thanks guys I don't think it will be a issue for me either but I just wanted to ask some people who actually own the P30. I have heard such great things about the P30 from the grip to the durability.  And it being fully ambi which is awsome because I am a left hander.

Thanks for your help you have made my decision much easier

Ive put about a 1k rounds through mine and noticed this issue early.  It only bothered me when the weather and my hands were cold. The pad of my finger would rub along the trough of the trigger guard.  I just placed my finger a little deeper along the trigger, not on the pad but just passed it.  This worked for me.  The gun is outstanding in all other ways, buy it.
