Just wait. Chances are it'll start.
I know I sound like a broken record but I honestly don't see the issue. There are plenty of threads on HKpro about this too.
Edit: Never mind, I thought this thread was about the slide release rattle.

Thats good

Because the one  I played with was loose as a goose.
Reminds me of the first run of Ruger P85

I`ll check another shop

Just topped 21,000 on my primary P30L, still as tight as day one.

So the P30 should be rock solid with play? Right
I know next to nothing about the HK line of handguns.

Uh, so my P30, the rental, for sales, and HK45s at the range I shoot at, all have a tiny bit of slide movement. Still shoots sub 2" groups.

went to the range and felt a brand new P30 next to my broken in P30. The slide has definitely loosened up a lot. Not slop, but easier to rack and I love it. The brand new one is very tight and has much more tension in the spring. i guess what I'm trying to say is that it does not develop any slop, it just breaks in nicely.
