I went shooting with a guy from work last weekend. He emailed me a list of 16 pistols and rifles and asked me if I wanted to shoot any of them. Stuff like Taurus 1911s and CZs. I wasn't really interested, but he does have a Browning Buck Mark, so I picked that. (Nice gun BTW)

I also had P7M8 and my P2000SK.

Anyway, his main gun is a Ruger SR9 and he's a pretty good shot, nice 4-5 inch groups at 10yds. So then he borrows my P30L and takes 2 inches off his grouping instantly. And he's loving it. ( I was a little envious here because he's actually shooting it a little better than me now)

So the funny thing is he's ranting about how expensive HK is and that he can't afford that. I pointed out that he has just as much $$$ in guns as I do, that I just have fewer of them. He kind of got this "oh yeah" look. He was also very envious of my Ruger SR-556 which I have set up with some nice optics and Magpul to the max. He has a S&W AR15 which is nice, but he has a bunch of Chinese crap bolted to it and a $40 scope on it that I can barely see through.

Anyway, I told my wife a successful range trip is when the other guy is envious of more of your stuff than you are of his.

haha he sounds like one of my friends!

"Yeah, HK is nice but that shit is expensive man".

"Well, if you'd sell your Hi-Point, Sigma, and XD that you never use, you'd be able to get one."

"Damn.  Good point, bro."

On the final point, I have to disagree with you.  A successful range trip is shooting another guy's expensive stuff better than the owner does.  So I'm sorry to report that you lost this one.
