That is a beautiful piece you have there.
I have always got along well with the standard M1911 (Long trigger, Flat MSH) and the M1911A1 (Short trigger, Arched MSH). My Delta came with the long/arched setup. I hate the feel with my small hands. That was all the inspiration I needed to ditch the shitty plastic MSH for a steel checkered flat one. Suddenly, the feel improved dramatically. I wonder how I'd like short/flat. |

I, too, switched to the Flat MSH when I discovered that I shot the 1911 a lot better one handed with it as compared to the Arched. Arched looks better but the flat shoots better one handed, IMO. Look for a high quality WW II style safety and have that polished and blued to match your pistol. BTW...that Colt is just plain GORGEOUS!!! |
