I have been saying for years that I would never own another Colt product(1994 BS...my last Colt product was one of the FEW AR15-A3 Tactical rifles that made it to the gen. public, which has been long gone)...today I broke that promise

I have been looking for a "stock" 1911 for a while...no luck, everything out there is "loaded".

Stopped by one of the local gun shops and inquired about any used 1911's that had not been put on display (only one used one was in a display case).

The owner mentioned that he had none, about 5 seconds after he said that..."I do have one, I took it in trade yesterday"

So out he comes with this COLT box that looked like sh*t...my heart sunk (cause it was a Colt!)...I figured I would just tell him to forget it, but the least I could do (since he brought it out) was look at it.

Once he opened the box I was floored!

N.I.B Combat Commander, all documentation (I do not care for this) intact, with "tag" still attached to trigger guard.

So the Mark IV Series 80 4.25" Combat Commander came home with me.

I think the price was reasonable...less than $700.00

...PICS INBOUND!

ETA:
Pics tomorrow.

Did a little research and it seems to have been manufactured in 1989. I deducted this mostly from the Colt Industries Letter "signed" by the then president "Gary W. French". Mr. French left Colt in early 1990. All paperwork inside the box is labeled 1989.

Now you know you need a Colt AR to keep it company.
