Was in one of the big box stores a week ago.  Generally nothing of interest there but occasionally they can surprise you.  This time they did, not once but twice.

Two nice old Colt revolvers.

First one;  Colt Officer's Model Match. 38 spec target revolver.  Solid 90% or better gun, I would guess '60 production.  Pachmyr grips, not the original wood.  Absolutely solid lock up, excellent trigger.  On sale for $429.

Second find:  Colt Army 1909.  The real deal, serial # in the 37,000 range, correct stamps.  Finish mostly a brown patina, lock work perfect, bore perfect.  Hard rubber grips with small chip, as best I can tell these are not original.  Should be smooth walnut.  Listed at $499.

Have not bought either, but both are gnawing on me.  According to the price guides, price seems good but not fantastic.  What say the Colt crowd?  Both is not an option.  My gut reaction is the OMM is the better buy of the two.
