 Christmas came early!  Colt Combat Government Model MK IV Series '80 made in 1985, so far installed parts are Colt factory downturned wide grip safety for standard spur hammer, Wilson Combat large mag release button, Wilson magwell funnel - hammer mainspring housing and Wilson 8 round SS mag with extra large extended base pad. This is a very accurate pistol, it beats my other '73 Gold Cup MKIV National Match .45 ACP target handgun. |

 My same Colt MK IV Series '80 .45 Gov't model I posted before on 8/11/2021 my 1985 retired competition gun with single port compensator Wilson Combat 5.5" stainless match barrel. Back then I was using synthetic magwell funnel, now I installed metal Wilson Combat funnel with hammer mainspring housing (30 LPI checkering) and new Wilson extended slide stop. |

 My one out of three Colt 1911 .45 pistols is Lightweight Officer's ACP, made in 1988 and I bought it new in 1989, nice and light aluminum frame, double recoil springs. I mainly use it for backup for my other full size Gov't model pistols. Upgrades shown are Wilson Combat semi extended slide stop, Wilson semi extended (1/16" longer than factory) mag release, Wilson concealment lightweight hammer and I'm using a Wilson 8 rounds SS with extended base pad for target practice. There are four more updates that I wanted, lightweight aluminum trigger, semi extended ambi thumb safety, concealment beavertail grip safety and Trijicon night sights. |
