| Ive got a mustang that I bought new sometime around 96 I think. Its nice little pistol but the slide sticks alot when its moving forward after clearing or chambering a round. Im not sure if its sticky because of a tight fit or maybe I dont clean it well enough. It has probably about 400 rounds through it. |
Well, this could be a lot of different things. Here are some considerations:
Good luck. |

The gun has almost no wear on it at all, I thought at first that maybe the bluing was a little to heavy in spots and maybe it was causing it to bind up. This is going to be a carry gun so its gotta work right! Ive been using old faithful, the silver tips. Have you tried ammo like hydra shocks or golden sabres out of this gun? Dale |

I have used 380 FMJ 'Ball' type ammo, like the kind I get from Georgia Arms. I have also used Winchester Ranger hollow points. Mine has trouble with the 380 sold at WalMart because they have a flat nose. Some people tell me their Mustangs eat anything. Not mine. Mine seems to no like anything that has a flat nose. |

Well I decided to part with this pistol. I cleaned it thoroughly and it works perfectly. It must have had some powder build up on the slide rail. I wish I had asked what the value of it was though! I saw them going for around 425 on gunbroker so thats what I listed it on here for, sold in 1 minute. heh I think that was low price, so someone got a great deal!

| 8mmDale: I would've given the gun more of a chance. The Colt 380s are great guns. I think the problem is that they do need a bit of break in. I've got Mustang Lite and standard blued Mustang. I've shot the blued one so much that I've loosened the dove-tail holding the rear sight in place. |

It was a decent gun, Im a big fan of colts. But I had to get rid of something to finance the carry gun and I really dont shoot it that much. It was really like brand new. This guy in texas got a good deal and I think most people agree. I got about 20 emails in 5 minutes about it. |
