Is there any difference between the Gold Cup Trophy and Gold Cup National Match? What would a new in box Trophy go for?

I just bought a Colt National Match 1911 from http://www.shootersplus.com about 3 weeks ago and love it. While I'm not a guru on the colts I think the only differences is the the NM is more of a blued finish, the trophy has a enhanced hammer and wraparound grips.

The rear sight and the grip safety seem to be different and the National Match comes in bright stainless. I'm not sure about the Trophy.

I don't think that's a factory finish. My NM looks nothing like that. Finish, trigger, hammer and grips are different on mine.

That's the Colt "Ultimate Stainless" finish.

Gold cup has spur hammer regular grip safety. If you were to plan on shooting bullseye hardball matches ( pretty much the gold cups reason for being) the regular gold cup is legal for this while any gun with a round hammer and beavertail is against the rules

The Gold Cup Trophy comes in either stainless or blued finish, and has Pachmayr wraparound grips, round hammer and beavertail grip safety. The bluing on mine is beautiful, and everything is fitted nice and tight. I'm very happy with it.

I don't know about the GCNM, but I'd imagine it's pretty similar, but with a little more hand fitting done to it.
