First time posting in the Colt forum. I just picked up a Colt 1917 Army New Service, my first Colt revolver! It's in good condition but not a collector piece, the "US PROPERTY" markings have been removed under the BBL and also on the bottom of the grip. Ser. No. range: 2482XX. The only issue with her is that it needs a new firing pin, I have looked at several parts sights and also Numrich and have not been able to locate one. I did find a complete Hammer on GB, but would like to keep the original hammer on the Colt.
If you know of any sight with parts, please let me know.
Thanks for the help!

Here's a couple of possibilities.  Call to check availability.

Instead buying a new hammer retention pin, use a section of drill rod.
Countersink a slight bevel on both sides of the hammer hole for the retention pin before riveting the new pin.
This gives the rivets room to flow down into the shallow countersinks on both sides and will leave enough rivet material after polishing the sides of the hammer.  Fail to do this and when you polish off the excess rivets there won't be enough to prevent the retention pin from loosening.

If push comes to shove and you can't find a new pin, any decent gunsmith can make a new pin from a good grade of steel.
