Can anyone give me an idea about the value of this 1991A1 Compact, Colt. Same, physically as the Officer but a 1991A1 Compact model. It has been dehorned and has hard chrome finish. Looks new, not a mark. Nice dull chrome plating. Any info would be appreciated!

Local shop just sold one LNIB for $500 even.  I think it was a good price, and that he could had waited on as much as $600.

The modifications don't make it worth any more.  Maybe less.  The original finish is a cheap parkerizing, and later a matte blue finish.

They are typically popular as base guns to build into customs.

I like them plain.  They are kind of neat.

Thanks for the reply!   Guess I could live with about 600 - at least it's a start, thanks again.

I have one and would think it would go for six.

Me too!  Carry it every day condition 1 w/o holster, all original.

ETA, Traded my Kimber Ultra CDP II for it.  I believe I purchased the kimber used for $600.00

I had one, it was dead reliable. Would still have it if it had an aluminum frame.

I miss mine, along with the SS model too.

The SS officer thought it was a Gold Cup, the 1991 compact was right behind it.
