I saw a photo of a Colt New Agent the other day that had sights added on.  Can you order the New Agent with the sights on it or is this something that you would have to have added by a smith after the fact?

The Colt New Agent normally has a trench sight, basically a groove running the length of the slide, I'm not sure how easy or practical it would be to add sights... You may have seen a picture of the Colt Talo New Agent XS, they were a limited edition done in .45 and 9mm and come with XS BigDot sights and no trench on the slide, the front sight is tritium... Call around to different dealers, there were 500 made in each caliber and you can still find one occasionally... Here's my Talo New Agent 9mm, pictures aren't the greatest but you get the idea...

Edited to add:  Model number for .45: O7810DXS    Model number for 9mm: O7812DXS

I bought my wife the Colt Talo New Agent XS in 9mm for Christmas. Nice little handgun. Didn't know they only made 500 of each or I would have picked up the 2nd one the dealer got in, too.

The Colt Defender is basically a New Agent with sights. Putting sights on the New Agent defeats the whole purpose, IMO. I have one. It doesn't take much to figure it out. No target pistol, but it's dehorned and shoots where you point it.
