I started down the slippery "class 3" slope and bought my first NFA item - a Gemtech Outback II suppressor for my Walther P22.

It's a lot of fun to shoot - especially with subsonic ammunition.

Why the subsonic ammo? I haven't had regular velocity .22 ammo go sonic out of mine yet.

MMM  Those are fun,  My p-22's former owner used to shoot it suppressed,  it's fun.

It's still just a little bit quieter to the shooter and overall in my experience.

Ive had jams while shooting subsonics (Remington) through my p22.. Though I dont have a suppressor yet.
Will it jam less WITH a suppressor attached or should I just stick with HV ammo?

The problem with subsonic rounds is that they don't have a lot of energy - enough to kick the slide all the way back like hyper-velocity rounds do.
A suppressor traps that escaping gas and forces some of the energy back into the gun.  So it will move the slide a little more.
...no matter how you slice it though, sub-sonic ammo just doesn't a lot energy and that lack of energy makes it prone to cycling problems.

You don't need to run subsonic ammo to keep things quiet though - you just want to keep the rounds from going super-sonic (around 1,100 fps)
"standard" velocity ammo has plenty of kick and usually won't go super-sonic. I run a lot of Federal bulk pack ammo through my P22 without the supersonic crack.

Standard velocity CCI's work well
