| Does anyone else have a finicky p22 . My p22 only shoots remington and some federal ammo, whereas my buddy has one just like mine and his will only shoot federal (no remington or winchester). I also cannot shoot winchester out of mine. Anyone else have these problems? |

This thread got me curious so I tried every type of 22 ammo I could find in my house and friends house next door. I loaded up each mag with:
CCI=OK Rem Golden Bullet=OK Federal HV Classic=OK Win Super-X=OK Aguila Standard Velocity=OK Like I said I loaded the mag once with each brand, I would have to shoot several mags of each type to get better test results. |

My first one was green and black.
It would only reliably shoot CCI Stingers. Federal bulk pack was not reliable at all. MY second one is black & Nickle. It will run the Federal bulk ammo 100%. My buddy's black and green doesn't like the Fed either. My thoughts are the Nickle has good lubricity properties, and I think it makes a big difference. I have never cared for shiny guns, but I am retinking that after this realization. Good Luck! John |
| Just purchased the nickel slide with black grip NIB from local Fun Shop and son and I went shot it last saturday and put just about every kind of 22 ammo we had and had no problems whatsoever. Even tried 22 sss 60 gr. Aquila with no problems at all. Maybe we just got lucky but this little thing will shoot. |

Here is my P22:
My P22 will eat Remington and Federal ALL DAY. I recently bought a box of Winchester and it didnt like it at all. It was binding up on every other shot. FTFs and FTEs all day and the casing would get stuck in the slide all the time. I have around 2500 rounds through it with MAYBE 5 FTEs or FTFs until this particular box of Winchester. Matt |
