Most of my shooting experiences have been with Glocks. Though I love them, I'm living in Washington now, so I'd like something I can just go up some dirt road and let a few rounds go.

Its just a plinking gun, so cheap ammo is a plus. If I do go with the P22, I'll probably pick up the Tac65 suppressor to go with it.

Any reason I shouldn't get one?
Any recommendations on where to order?(not interested in the package with the suppressor, I'll be picking up the suppressor a little later)
Good recommendations on ammo? I hear the CCI High Velocity work well, and are cheap.
Is getting the laser worth it? Can it be seen during the day?

Thanks!

Go Navy!

I just took mine out for the first time this past weekend.  I shot about 50 rounds of CCI through it to get it broken in and then loaded 20-30 rounds of bulk Remington, not one single issue, it was flawless.

i think a suppressed p22 is the next fix in my addiction.  package, separate, whatever.  where's the best deal?, and how starts the paperwork?

i'm really eager to find info on the whole mess.  i'm looking for an indepth thread on it right now.  thought there might even be a sticky???

I've had nothing but Glocks and picked up a P22 on Monday. Yesterday I took it out for the first time and shot several hundred rounds of the cheap federal ammo from wal-mart. The gun ran perfectly, not a single problem no matter what I did to it.
This is my first .22 and it's great being able to shoot all day long for cheap.

Just FYI, suppressors are a no-no in Washington State.

Legal to own and put on your firearm, illegal to shoot through.

just got my Yankee Hill Mite and am very happy with it.  I love the p22, but will soon add a ruger to the collection to use the suppressor on too.

I just got a new P22. Took it out yesterday and it did pretty well. I shot CCI Mini Mags and Fed Bulk. Fed Bulk had 3 failure to feeds. Slide went forward but did not chamber a round. That was out of 300 rounds. Trigger is heavy but hopefully that will ease up with shooting. Accuracy was ok for a 3.5" barrel and the crappy trigger. I tore it down when I got home and had some slight peening on the slide from the ears. I smoothed them out so it should be ok now. I will be getting a Tactical Inovations can adapter tomorrow for my Tac65. Only reason I bought the P22. I have a TacSol PacLite upper on my 22/45. It's better for accuracy.

Well I have one, my son has one, my sister-in-law has one, and one of my shooting buddys has one. Out of those 4 that I am around alot mine is a POS. As of 10-25-08 it has been sent in to try to get whatever the heck is wrong with it fixed... The other 3 that I spoke of all work fine with a ftf once in a blue moon. I guess I just got a dud..

I'm looking to get a P22 and can ASAP. Can anybody provide a price check on the P22 and a good can? I need to get the paperwork started before "Barry" makes cans a no-no.... Please and thank you...

I have mine for 1 and 1/2 and it is flawless! Shot about 4k rounds thru it. It likes the Federal Value Pack ammo the best.

Enjoy!

I just bought one Monday for $326 plus tax.  I like it alot, my son has had one for a year and we have shot many bulk federals thru it with no problems.

That is a great deal. I like to buy my stuff locally so I don't mind paying a bit more for it.

I paid $379 NIB for one including the 5" bbl

Great gun, I love switching between this and my P99 at the range.

Mine loves CCI Mini-Mags and Remington gold bullets (RGB).  I get an FTL every 100 rounds useing Federal bulk.

I'd also like to contribute that this gun is pretty accurate.
