A friend of mine asked me today to take her p22 home with me and clean it for her. She never has... This pistol does not appear to be taken care of particularly well. Lack of lubrication(?) for one thing there's a gouge (?) or big scratch on the slide above the switch that holds the action open. Sorry no pics tonight. Anyway, there appears to be a tiny allen screw(?) missing just behind the front sight blade. Is it particularly unsafe to fire it without this screw and where could I find one to replace it? Thanks for any help, I'm not particularly familiar with the p22, I own a buckmark

| I take it from your description that it has a 5in barrel. The small allen set screw is to index the fake comp thats held on by the two large allen screws that grip the barrel (under it) that is out past the end of the slide. No big deal as long as the sight is straight and in line with the rear sight..... |
