Hello Everyone, This is my first post here. Just the other day, I was shooting my Walther P99, 40 Caliber. While loading one of the magazines, the floor plate simply shot out from the bottom. On a closer look, the floor plate's plastic portion that holds the plate retainer broke off. If anyone is insterested, I will be more than happy to upload the pictures on this thread. I have contacted Walther USA as well as SW customer support. I am awaiting their response. Has anyone experienced such an occurrence? What are your suggestions, if any, in contacting Walther USA or Smith & Wesson? Thank you in advance for your replies. M.K. |

I will take a wild guess.... that mag was 10 rounder ??? If so the only choice to fix this is to ask S&W for some new floorplates or to change to 12 round mags as this problem looks to be common for a certain batch of 10 round .40S&W mags only.... apparently there was some bad polymer used on some 10 round floorplates... again this is only reported in the .40S&W |
