Well I have a Walther P99 .40, that I'm selling to a guy at work. I like it but decided I wanted a Sig pretty bad so its got to go. Anyway, I was looking through the P99 owners thread and was looking at the pictures. I noticed that most all of the P99's there had Smith and Wesson on the right front portion on the slide . Mine says Interarms and underneath that it says Alexandria/VA. Serial number is #4035XX, just wondering why mine is different than many of the others pictured on this site, and what other info you guys might have on this gun. Thanks |
D'oh! I knew I should've asked around here before deciding to sell it. I kinda had a feeling something like this would be the case. But I've already comitted to selling it, I cant really back out of it now. I suppose if I truely miss it, I'll find another someday, hopefully. No camera=no pics, sorry |

Hey, on that FAQ I learned something I didn't know. If you have the "golden eagle over the N" marking everything was made in Germany. That's pretty cool. If it says Smith/Wesson on it it just means it was imported by them--the slide was not made by them. Glad to know that ;) |
True, if the "eagle over N" is on the barrel, towards the back of the slide and on the frame (all symbols are on the right side of the gun) then the pistol is 100% German manufactured. |
Sounds like mine. I still can't get used to the mushy trigger. Nice gun though.. |
