| My grandfather who recently passed away was a WWII veteran who managed to bring back quite a few "relics". One of these was a blued walther pistol that closely resembles (and may be) a walther pp. There is no caliber designation and the machining is quite rough (maybe war production??). I'd provide more info, but i'm at work and unable to have the gun in front of me. Any ideas on possible calibers (I have two mags as well, no markings either) and value (not for sale, just curious). |

By far and away the most common German small pistol caliber was 7.65/.32 auto. Can't give a value, if we don't know for what gun. In any case, values on all guns, including WWII German pistols depends on actual condition, when made, and anything that might make it more valuable, such as a low production version. |

Ballpark value will probably be in the $300-350 range. More, if it's in good shape & has the usual nazi stamps & all the collector stuff on it. A bit less if it's seen some rust & is a commercial model made in the 1930s. Take it to some gun shows & have dealers tell you what they think it may be worth? |
| I'll have to get back to you on the proofmarks. The pistol currently resides at my parents house in a floor safe, hence the reason for the difficulty in obtaining any defining charactersistics. I'll be visiting them in a couple days so I'll have more info. Again, thanks to all who've replied. |
