Does the PPQ First Edition really exist?

Rather than start a new thread i'll post this here.
I talked to walther usa they said 4 First editions were in the USA and listed the gun on back order. The 4 over here are not for sale. They did verify that the barrels were threaded with thread protectors. SO it will be a while.

The way I saw it I felt it was on the way but they do not know an exact date. I have called several times and spoke to several different people. The date I keep hearing is "Late August". They did say We would NEVER see the Navy model over here. Thats a shame I would really like one of those over a first edition. But I'll take a first edition.
Its funny I have been told by Ruger that they are shipping Left handed Gunsite scouts but I haven't had an FFL tell me they can get them yet. They call the distributors and they say still backordered. I have talked to several FFL's and they all know about it and say that several people have interest in them. Some have quoted me a price. From $699 to $899 and everything in between. I hate to say it but when you find one and your OK with the price and the pistol gives you the warm fuzzy buy it. When you hear of them in stores I would go to your favorite FFL you trust and see what he can do to order one and how much. For me I will buy at $700 but $899 they can keep it. But in general. From what I am told by some FFL's, apparently a lot of stuff they can sell they can't get. Ruger 1911's, Keltec PM30, Ruger Gunsite rifles both left and right handed, used 3 or 4 year old 3rd Gen Glocks. Could sell everyone they get if they could get them and the Glocks too. |
