Anyone ever see one? When the ban expires do you think they'll make 'em? |
| There is a post of this type on the rimfirecentral forums, and we have contacted Walther, who told us they were forwqarding it to germany. I think it would be fairly easy to make one that held at least 15-17 rounds with slight redesign. After all, the follower is horribly large in those mags. |

Its not possible. Look at the location of the little "knob" that actuates the slide stop. If they cut the follower way down to allow another 3 or four rounds, the nob would interact with the slide stop before the follower would make it all the way to the top. I've ordered an extra mag and am looking at how this could be accomplished WITHOUT a slide stop (i.e., remove the little knob on the follower and then grind the follower way down to allow 3 or 4 extra rounds, but once you remove the slide stop you have a problem with the last "click" peening the chamber mouth and screwing up reliability. Unless you are REALLY REALLY good at counting shots. Also, remember that springs cannot be compressed "all the way" so realistically you'd probably only be able to get maybe 2 extra rounds into a modified mag without compromising mag reliability. |
