Got a new model 817 7 shot in .38 special cal. anyone know of any holsters , I have a iwb rig but want one for outside the pants also, thanks in advance for any replies

Try the "Miami Special" by Galco. I have two - one for my Glock 17 and one for my Glock 26 both in 9mm. I can wear it all day and not even know it is on - whether I wear it next to my skin or over an undershirt. For a fast draw, I have several shirts wherein I had the buttons removed and sewn on the front and then put velcro under them so I can just rip the shirt open with my left hand. Of course it takes some practice - just like any other "carry." After buying over a dozen OWB's and IWB's as well as out carriers and wasting a lot of $$, this is by far the carry holster for me.

Galco has IWB holsters for the 24/7. I ordered one of their summer comfort holsters for my 24/7 Pro C. I just looked at the Galco website and they have quite a few IWB holsters listed for the 24/7.

try looking for Bianchi holsters. they fit great on the 817/617
