By all accounts, the only thing that seems to be a problem is a thin finish.

I've got one and love it. It's the currently best deal going for an entry-level 1911.

Bought mine yesterday. Already put 200 rounds through it, and I love it. I actually like it more than my Colt Commander.

I've had one since last Tuesday and fired 200 rounds through it on Thursday (Corbon hoolowpoints and Federal hardball). The pistol is accurate and I had no malfuntions of any kind. The finish is fairly utilitarian, but I am a Glock guy and all my guns look more or less like that.

What are your questions?

I've put 500+ rounds through mine, and it shoots great. My only complaint was that the front sight broke on mine and is now off a bit. Any idea if they replace this? I read on the warranty that they don't cover sights so I guess no...

Supposedly Richard Heinie has some replacement sights in the works. I don't think he's got them on the market yet.

Why not call Taurus and ask them if they'll help you out? I'm guessing they will.
