| I unscrewed the ejector on a Taurus M617 (357 Mag) the other day while I was cleaning it. The threaded piece (name of this part?) (which is a left hand thread btw), the extractor and extractor rod came out. The problem is that when I went to put everything back together, the extractor rod was free floating when it should have some sort of retaining bushing or spring tension to hold it in place. It is totally loose in there and sliding fore and aft. When it slides forward, you can't even shut the cylinder until you slide it back. I was very careful when taking it a part and nothing fell out or shot out. Anyone know what the problem is here and how to fix? Thanks! |

there is a spring and "button" under the screw forward right that holds the cylinder in. so screw - spring - thing. Call taurus and they will send you a complete set for free. I got mine in about a week. Use lock tite when putting bac together or it will comeout when shooting....ask me how I know.
