I'm looking for a good holster for my Glock 26. The Alessi Talon looks sharp and I like the fact that it can be used without a belt (at least according to the company). Anyone here have one? Are they comfortable to wear while sitting?

I brought in an instructor to my PD to teach fellow Officers and the instructor used an Alessi Talon. When on his first draw the holster came out of the pants with the gun, he lost all credibiltiy, lucky it wasn't a gunfight. Just say "NO" to clip holsters.

However, you can't put fault a product based off one experience. I mean, I love my Benelli SNT; doesn't mean people haven't had their SNTs' forends that came apart (among other problems). What do you guys think of the Bianchi 100 Professional vs the the Alessi Talon? |

I've had an Alessi Talon for a gov't model, along with a Talon mag pouch for .45 mags, for about a quarter century.
It's one of only two clip holsters I'll use (the other was by Ted Blocker). I can't recall it ever coming out of my pants... in fact, it is quite difficult to remove! I sometimes have to unthread the belt to get it off. I'd hazard a guess that the instructor didn't have it secured properly. If it was hooked under his belt, it would still be there. I don't use the holster much anymore (no longer have a gov't model), but I still use the mag pouch whenever I carry a .45. David |
