I bought a Fobus paddle for my Ruger P95 and I have 2 complaints.

1. The firearm is incredibly hard to remove from the holster.

2. Because the firearm is hard to remove, I end up pulling the entire holster out of my pants even when it is locked under my belt.

I too have a Kimber 3" and I found that a simple IWB holster works best for me.

Yeah, it's got INCREDIBLE retention. I've tried drawing and holstering it like a million times and stretching the part by the trigger with my thumbs to loosen it a bit but it makes no difference. Doesn't lift the holster out of my pants, but it requires significant effort and is too awkward for me.

Fobus does have a newer version now though, called the Evolution. It's a fixed paddle, but has a retention adjustment screw.

Fobus is junk. Bladetech or Blackhawk are marginally better, but then they're always this
Kydex paddle holster gun grab

It just happened to be a Fobus, but I'm guessing any paddle kydex would fail in almost the same way.
I'd use it on the range...but that's about it

Although I do not think Fobus holsters are the greatest holster made, the video is a little misleading. No one would ever get that close to me and have such a easy time putting their hands on my weapon.

I've used several Fobus holsters. I've never had the problems getting my weapon out as others have. My Glock holster was a little to tight, I put some CLP on the trigger guard and drew/reholstered a few times, works perfect ever since.

I bought one roto holster: I will never buy a ROTO again!!!! It has 1 screw that attaches the paddle/belt loop to the holster. It constantly ratchits every time I sit down or hit the but on the door jamb getting in a car, I hear a click or two and go "well, there gos the ROTO". I fear if youi tightened the screw enough the plastic would break, plus you'd need Loc-tite to keep it in place. Second issue: the roto thing-a-majig makes the weapon stick out further, thus less concealable.

I prefere the FBI can't that a regular Fobus has anyways. If you want a cross draw holster get an Uncle Mikes Kydex, it has 4 screw holes so you can change it from FBI-straight-crossdraw. It also has adjustable retention and the Paddle it attached to the belt VERY WELL!. IMO, the Uncle Mikes makes my gun stick out slitely more than a regular Fobus, but probable not noticeable.
