I received yesterday both a Comptact Infidel and the Bladetech IWB. While only slightly different in appearance, the actual holster compartments themselves are virtually the same in form & function. I like the Comptac more for a couple of reasons: 1) The hardware of the Comptacs is better. They even use washers. The only problem witht the hardware is that they require the use of an alen tool to remove, but if you don't plan on making frequent changes, this shoudln't be an issue. 2) The CompTac also comes with leather loops. The BladeTec came standard with belt loops, but they are made of some type of rubber/pvc/or whatever it is (not leather). While I'm sure that both of these holsters will provide nearly identical performance, I'm declaring the CT as the winner based on what I've stated even though I feel it's just splitting hairs. ETA: I chose to look at these particular holsters b/c I was looking for a beater holster for unusual situtaions that would benefit from the added firepower of a fullsize handgun (as compared to my EDC Glock 36 or SW 340). I still prefer the feel of a leather holster and find leather to be much more comfortable worn against the body. |
