I'm about ready to order acouple of the Minotaur MTAC IWB Holsters, one for a G19 and USPC .45... Should I get the "C" Clip or Standard Clips? Also, what's a good belt to get for carrying (And what Width)? I want something casual, but good quality that will handle alot of use. Thanks, Nathan ETA: I didn't see that they sold spare Bodies for the MTAC... would it be better to get a spare body and swap it out depending on what pistol I want to use? |

I'm going the other way on this one... The C-clips retain really well, but with the purpose of this being a tuckable holster, I think they stick out WAY too much... I"ll be ordering a set of the regulars at my next paycheck. As for the swapping, I wouldn't want to do it very often, as it's 4 screws with rubber retainers to do the switch. Looks practical to me as a seasonal change, but if I was going to change very often, I'd just get the whole setup. |
Cool, thanks. I'll order the USPC .45's Holster first. Regards, Nathan |
| I have a CTAC for my XD9SC. I ordered it with the Standard clips and the C clips. I haven't used the C clips at all. I rarely tuck in my shirt. I really don't see them having an advantage over the Standard clips unless you are tucking in your shirt. OTOH, I haven't had a good belt to use with either set of clips. My belt from the BeltMan just came in and I will give each set of clips a try. I did try the standard clips out real quick and the belt makes a HUGE difference. |
+1 Personally I like the C-clips and its method of retention. I use a Liger belt which is a 1.5in and the two work very well together. I purchased the MTAC for my P30 and the fit is phenomenal. |
