I carry a shield EDC and when I am in basketball shorts I use Undertech Undercover's concealment shorts.

It's not the best solution (I don't carry with a round in the chamber when using these) but it works when I need them too.

There is no sizing for specific pistols, but I am pretty sure they would work even with a larger pistol.

I'm not really clear on the question.  Are you looking to conceal a G34 inside the waist band, or do you just want to wear basketball shorts at the range?

I use a belly band for jogging, but I'm carrying a G43.   That might be ok with a G34.

A battle belt would hold up a variety of OWB holsters without the need for belt loops.

Any holster designed for a Glock 34 will hold it just fine.  the real question is what are you going to use to hold the holster up?  Maybe a paddle holster if you had to?  Either a battle belt or competition belt would be a better option though.

Have you considered a smaller pocket gun for basketball short use?  The 34 is not heavy per se but is a little big to be supported by a draw string.  Personally I'd just wear a pair of regular shorts with a proper belt.

OP, the 34 is a bit big for what I imagine basketball shorts are.  Baggy plastic no belt loop shorts not fit to be worn in public unless playing basketball.

Are you looking to carry a 34 while playing basketball?  If so, that is odd.

You could likely find a paddle holster that you can jam into the waistband, but then how are you going to hold your shorts up without a belt?  I suppose you could get a shoulder holster to work as well.

OP, what are you trying to do because posting you want to carry a 34 in basketball shorts is slightly unusual.

I would go with a much smaller gun if I were you. Basketball shorts would be pulled down with minimal weight, especially while running/jumping.

Good luck and please don't shoot yourself making a free throw.

Frankly, I have never been able to get my 34 to wear basketball shorts.  I would think it would bind in the holster.  Mine rides nekkid.

Are we talking IWB or OWB?

Do the shorts have belt loops?  We need more info.

I usually go with this set up when wearing my basketball shorts, both on the court and at the club. It works out perfect because my basketball shorts go down past my calf. Only issues have been when I'm posted up in the paint and big Larry at the rec center gets a little too touchy-feely.  I'm not real sure about big Larry...anyway.mim sure a G34 would fit great in here too.
