Hi All,

Recoil buffers still a thing?  I remember they were a big deal a decade or two ago.  I have some laying around was wondering if they're worth reinstalling.

Yeah, I bought some wilson combat ones 15 years ago for my 1911.  Also got some for my Glock.  I don't think I shoot enough to bother with them.

I run Wilson Combat buffers in my 1911s, but all my other pistols run sans buff.

I used to use them when ipsc shooting in the 80's & 90's (everybody seemed to), but had a wilson shok-buf disintegrate on me one time, gumming up the gun in the middle of a match. That pretty much turned me off of them.

Heard of that being the reason not to use them on defensive weapons, but never actually saw it happen.

Good to know.
