I've been using the APL for a while now; here's what I've found.....

Pros:
-Cost.  The light can be had for around $100
-The activation paddles are very easy to activate and ambidextrous
-Uses relatively common CR123 battery
-Mounts easily
-Comes with two mounting brackets---universal and 1913
-200 C4 LED output.   It's a nice white light with a good peripheral cone.
-O ring sealed
-Lightweight.   Weighs 2.8oz.

Cons:

-It's not as bright as some lights on the market but brightness isn't an end all, be all on a weapon light.
-1.5hr runtime (but only uses 1 battery vs. 2 for most weapon lights.

Here's a review of the light with a side by side comparison with some other weapon lights at night, some shooting (day/night), and a discussion of the pros and cons:

Nice review, thanks. I've been contemplating one of these for a while now.

Just picked up my second APL today.  This one will be for use on my night stand gun, a Glock 21SF.

I prefer the APL's over the TLR1 and X300 mostly because of they add so little bulk to the gun.  Plus the holsters can be much smaller and more comfortable to wear.

Good review and mimics my experiences. Any specific holsters available yet?

The above company (RKBA) makes great holsters for them.   I've got 3 of their holsters---great holsters.

Love my APL as well. Great review. I just received a KT-Mech Holster for mine. Extremely high quality for a bargain price. Only took 2 weeks to receive and cost about $55. Love how the APL allows holsters to be so slim and concealable!

PICS PICS PICS (sorry they are poopy cell phone ones)

I just bought two of the for my Glocks, I'm not sure what others are paying for them?

I paid $92.00 each, no sales tax and $10.00 for shipping from here;

I got mine and I have to say, wow. Very impressed. For whatever reason, every time I see a picture of one these lights look clunky and large, but in reality they are very slim and compact. Much smaller than a TRL-1.

Good buy for sure.

I got a ton of comments like that on my facebook page when I first posted photos of the light so it seems you're not alone there.  That's why I showed them (TLR, X300, and APL) next to each other in the video.

Just to make sure I'm understanding this... the paddles on both sides operate the weapon light, correct?

I havent bought into the ruggedness of the Inforce lights yet, especially if they are using the same material as the WML's. Also another good comparison would be the TLR-1s since it has been upgraded to 320 lumens for the same price of $90-100

As a heavy use light I don't think i'd choose anything other than a X300/300u.

For a CCW weapon the APL is a great choice since the holster doesn't have to be overly large, IMHO.

Is this light actually waterproof or just O-ring sealed at the bezel?

I've looked at their literature and the listed specs on the website and it doesn't mention being waterproof nor "up to" immersion depths.
So the bezel could be sealed, but the area around the switch may not be.

I'm looking at another light to replace an Insight M3 with the LED head.  Nice light and I really like the no tool / QD mount but the rear isn't sealed.
The TLR's are sealed but the mount is a bit more cumbersome.
The Surefires are sealed and depth rated with a nice QD mount but twice the price.
