Ok, Sorry to keep asking questions...and Im sure this has been asked before but I like to hear others opinions!
I was set on the X300....BUT ive been offered a slightly used TLR2 for a New barrel I have for sale......I never looked at the TLR2 because it was out of my price range....more than the TLR1 and X300.... I know the X300 is "Built Like a Tank".....But, my use is mostly /only for HD....and for coolness ........Anyway.....
I can get the TLR2 basically for free....(trade) or hope the barrel sells and have JUST enough for a X300..... Is it worth just to get the TLR2? Is there much much difference in brightness? and durability if im not in WWIII? Also Ive never had a laser on a gun, is it a good accomadation? is the laser on the TLR2 just as good as a designated Laser only attachment? Hope this makes alittle sense....its for a G19 |
| After having Surefire weapon lights, and handguns with laser devices attached, I can tell you first hand. You will appreciate the higher quality of the X300 over a laser on a cheap light that will only get used when you first get it, then very little after that. |
| The TL series are good lights, but if you have the option go with Surfire. My X300 has surpassed my expectations in every way. It actually made me make the switch from incandescant weaponlights to LED weaponlights. I was so impressed with the X300, I delved into the Scout series and havent turned back yet. |

I carry the X300 on both my duty pistol and patrol carbine for work.
Never had a problem with either one. For getting beat around and abused everyday, I can't complain. I find the function of the X300 more simple than the TLR. Push for momentary and swivel for constant on. The TLR swivels one way for momentary and the opposite for constant. Just one less thing to remember when it all goes bad and you have to use it. |

........Anyway.....
