I'm looking at getting an 1.5" black one.
My questions are: 1- Can anybody compare the 5 stitch to the CSM? Preference and why? I have a Beltman bullhide belt with an internal stiffener and love it so the extra stiffness does not bother me. 2- Titanium or steel? Besides the price what are your opinions if you own the titanium version? Worth the extra money? Thanks, Jon |

Unless you are carrying a very heavy load like a full size 1911 and a couple spare mags and a light, the 5 stitch is fine in my opinion. I have an Aker leather belt with kydex stiffener and do prefer the wilderness if it isn't a dressier occasion.
I'd go steel. Other than weight, for me, there's no reason to spend the extra on the Ti buckle. So, I'd go 5 stitch with steel buckle. |

I've not tried the reinforced belt, but the 5 stitch is stable enough that even a slight drop in comfort level wouldn't be worth it to me. |
| I got the original. Order 2" longer than your waist size in levis (that are big enough to accommodate iwb if that's your plan) and it should fit just right.I believe the easy fit version has a longer tail. That could be trouble if you wanna carry OWB at 3 o'clock. The original in the correct size leaves just enough room though. |

Good I'd prefer the 1.5". One more question though(and I think I'm done) do your got the original or easy-fit? Thanks, Jon I have the 1.5” original. I have always worn size 34 jeans, just recently went to 36 because I’ve “fluffed” a little bit. I got a 38 belt and wish I had gotten the 40. Measure as shown on the Wilderness website to make sure you get the right size. I’ve found that 2 sizes over your jeans size is about normal. If 36 jeans, you’ll probably be a 40 belt, etc. Just measure a current belt and your waist. |

My favorite Wilderness belt config is the 1.75" Instructor, CSM, steel buckle. The Ti buckle has neato factor, but I just can't see the steel buckle as heavy. I've got a good friend who always goes for the Ti buckle, but then he's always been big into the neato factor. I have 1.5" Instructors, too, in both the 5-stitch and CSM versions, for trousers whose belt loops won't allow the 1.75" belts. The 1.5" belts are great, but the 1.75" really are noticeably better, IMO. |

Thanks for all the replies.
I ended up ordering the original in 1.5" 5 stitch, steel. Thought I would go with the cheaper(in price not quality) version for my first one to see how I like it. Based on all the good reviews I'm sure I will and then I may order me another with the Ti buckle. I have recently ordered me a leather belt from The Beltman so I was very fimilar with the proper sizing instructions. I wear a 32 in pants and order a 36 belt, but I did follow the instructions on The Wilderness website and came to the same number. Now the waiting game for it to arrive. |
