Hey all-

Any experience with these magazines?? I'm looking at some 15 round 9mm 59 series S&W mags.

They have a good overall rep.  I have owned some of their .45 1911 mags.  No problems that I recall.

They are good to go. They make OEM mags for several handgun manufacturers.

Good to go with Mec-Gar Mags. I have used them in my Sig for the last year without a problem...O and the added capacity is nice too

Run great in my SIG too.  The fit, finish and spring all seem first rate.

Mec-gar makes the mags for Sig. I could never understand way they make a Sig 229 13 round mag for Sig and they make a 15 round for the Sig 229 under the mec-gar name and they are cheaper to buy. That's 2 extra rounds for less money and are made by the same manufacturer. I have run them in my sigs for years and never a problem

They make the OEM Walther P99 magazines and those rock.  Until I buy a Mec-Gar that blows my face off I will continue to buy Mec Gar and I sold all my Wilson 47D's because I didn't like them!

Only problem I ever had with Mec-Gars was in a Witness (where, oddly, they also make the OEM mags...) The Mec-Gars didn't feed well, and were a different enough shape in the body that they had trouble fitting the magwell.

So while they're usually high-quality, I have found that buying a Mec-Gar isn't the equivalent of buying an OEM, even if Mec-Gar made the OEM.

They make good mags for the CZ 75 series too.

Mec-Gar is the OEM for almost all pistols utilizing metal bodied magazines.

What type of witness and what type of witness mag?  There's different mags for the Polymer and steel frames, not to mention large and small  frame witnesses.

Large, steel frame .38 super. Right mags, just didn't work too well.
