Does anyone have any feedback on the Nighthawk Leather Holsters?
I tried to search but couldn't find anything.
I did notice they have options for cow, shark, badger, ostrich, elephant, stingray, alligator.

I am thinking of the cowhide "the stealth" model

VM-2 copy that costs more than an actual VM-2. I'd pass and place an order to Milt Sparks.

Yeah; if you're in the market for a style of holster they sell and they make one for your handgun; snap one up they look really well made.

I wonder who makes that leather for them ?

Judging from this comment and your original one concerning the materials in which they make holsters it would seem that you're not very familiar with custom leather holsters. Any reputable holster maker that deals in leather tends to have a long wait time. If you want one right now, you'll have to pay the price or settle for a lesser quality product.

So it would seem that if you have to wait, then wait for the best.

Obviously I am not very familiar with their holsters or I wouldn't have asked about them.
it would stand to reason that they are a good company or they wouldn't have a seven month wait.
Thanks for stating the obvious though

I didn't mean to come off as an ass, more as an FYI. The use of the "" would lead one to assume that you think it's stupid that they have such a long wait. So I was simply trying to convey that this wait time is typical. Since this wait time is typical it wouldn't make sense to pay more for a copy of a product that costs more.

But again, my apologies if I came off as a jerk.

The leather that Nighthawk Tactical is selling under its own brand name appears to be top notch goods and it's likely that they7 have a premium custom maker building those holster for them.

Milt Sparks isn't the only game in town; although most of the top makers are either backed up as long as Milt Sparks or not currently taking orders until they catch up.

Milt Sparks who has passed away, isn't the designer of the fine holster that the company sells as the Versa Max ll; they are one of several top quality  makers who manufacture very similar holsters.

I wouldn't think twice before ordering from Nighthawk Tactical if I was in the market for one of  the types of holsters they sell, and they made one for a gun I wanted to carry.

I was drinking and playing cards last night (at the time I was not doing very well).  So I too apologize for reading more into what you posted.

I ordered the Nighthawk "Stealth" in shark skin.  It is a 2 week wait... so alot more reasonable time frame.  I bought a Nighthawk Talon 9mm to start carrying everyday now that it's cooler weather.  I didn't want to wait 7 months and it be May/June 2011 before I got the VM-2.

Now I am seriously debating ordering a VM-2 for my TRP Operator so I can compare the two products

Nice choice on the shark skin, it's my favorite holster material. Two weeks is a good time frame and if the craftsmanship and material is up to par with Sparks then I may have to give them a try.

I will definately post some pictures once I get the holster and get a chance to try it out.
I'm pretty confident that if "Nighthawk" puts their name on something, it is going to be top notch.

I don't own a nighthawk holster but I've seen and handled several and they're top notch gear.

If you don't want to wait for a milt sparks ( of which I own several ) I'd suggest taking a look at the LA-CCS  5 shot leather makes for lightningarms.com.
