| I purchased a TLR-3 about 6 months ago and it broke. The plastic park of the clamp just broke clean off one day. I don't know why this piece isn't metal. I already had a custom holster built for the gun and the light so I bought another one and the exact same thing happened in the exact spot on the clamp. It happened once while firing and once while it was sitting in the safe. Perhaps I torqued it too much but who knows? I emailed Streamlight and received a prompt response telling me to ship it to their CS dept. I didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks and then today I received 2 NIB TLR-3's in the mail. While Streamlight barely communicated with me, I am impressed with the quick and efficient way that they made this right. While I do have doubts about the lights themselves ( I broke 2), I don't have any doubts about Streamlight or the CS dept there. |
| Streamlight is very good with CS. A tip for next time: Call around to your local police supply stores (many times listed under uniform shops) and ask if they repair Streamlights. In my experiences, if they do, the store employee will fix your light as you wait. I've gone thru about 4 or 5 switches in my Stinger flashlight over the years (the rubber pad over the switch tears and then lets water in) and I haven't paid for a new switch yet. |
