Who else likes the Gold Dots and Silver Tips.

I like the Speer Gold Dots.  I first started using the 270gr. for my .44magnum.  Sheriff Jim Wilson had a couple of articles in Shooting Times, along with other writers, and found them to be good performers on Elk sized game(deep penetration, excellent weight retention, and good expansion).  I use them for hunting deer/elk/antelope and grizzly protection.  My .44mag load is per Wilson's; .270gr SGD, over 21gs of H110 with cci non-mag primers.  This load BTW, is max per sierra, and several other reloading manuals.  I cronographed it a 1280fps out of my 5 1/2" Vaquero.

I just bought my first box of 124g. SGD's for my B92 in 9mm yesterday.  I hope they will perform as well as their .44cal cousins, in a scaled down version. Any body have any data on their effectiveness in personal protection situations against 2 legged varmints?

Seem slow over my chrono.
Although they are still supposed to mushroom-just not much energy.

Not a load,was loaded ammo
Is Speer #23968 44mag 270 gr
1120 FPS out of a 7 1/2" Redhawk
Still kills deer and pigs.
Around here wild pigs are considered a pest and there is no season. The river bottoms are full of them and they make it easy to do real life testing on live creatures.

I have two knowledgeable friends who swear by WST.  I have another who loves the CorBon 124 bonded hp +p.  Any comments on the CorBon?
