Hi All, I am interested in hearing about anyone who has fired or used (Personal Protection Systems Defensive Handgun Ammunition) in any caliber.
The company was in Pa. in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The ammo was marketed as high end self defense ammo. It was made in all pistol calibers and a few rifle calibers. I am posting pictures of the packaging and information that comes with the rounds so I hope you can read it. All the ammo made by this company says that it is loaded at near maximum SAAMI pressure. most of the bullets are pure copper and very light weight.(except .38 special which is a 38 grain aluminum Alloy that is coated) The papers also say that they come out of the barrels at a very high FPS (all are listed at over 1000FPS). The ammo original sold at $14.95 per pack. The packs varied on the number of rounds- IE .25auto is 7 rounds, .32 , .380, , .38 are 6 rounds, 9mm, .45, .45 colt are 4 rounds in a pack.
Now the company has been out of business since around 1993 from what I can find out. I have shot most of the calibers with good results. The ammo is definitely VERY HOT loads witch is stated on the packages. I have only had one problem with the rounds being to HOT for one pistol that I shot them out of and causing a problem.
I have access to A LOT of this ammo in .25 , .32 , .380, .38. and would like to spread the wealth so to speak since so many people are looking for the smaller calibers as of late. I am worried about the liability issues of the ammo messing up someone's pistol. Even after warning people of how HOT this ammo is. It is really +P on the high end. What say the Hive ????? Sell some or just be stuck with it???
Thanks for the input.

No idea what to do with it. If you sell it, just put a disclaimer that states the ammo may not be safe to shoot. Someone might be willing to pay a premium for nostalgia's sake.

As far as how it performs from a terminal ballistics perspective: Junk. The .32 "MTT" is not needed. A .32ACP FMJ bullet will penetrate without the need for anything special. As far as lightweight expanding bullets: That's adequately covered in the Exotic Ammo FAQ.

Yeah, nostalgia is about it.
I have a dozen or so packs of their various loads that I picked up a few years ago for about $2.50 or $3.00 per pack. I never tried to shoot any of it though.
