Opinion on the .45 Golden Saber ammo? Anyone know a good place to get practice ammo?

IMO, Winchester Ranger is better stuff. I've been to both Remington and Winchester LE ammo demonstrations, and the Winchester performs better.

I don't know about 45 ACP, but I have fired the 38 specials into soaked phonebooks and wet sand and the jackets separated from the cores in both media. I don't know what the performance is in human shootings, though.

Haven't seen any actual shootings with .45 GS, but I investigated one with a .40. Bullet was fired into the ear of a gas station attendant at point-blank range. Jacket separated immediately, core went under the skin and ran around the outside of the skull, exiting at the back of the head. He was treated and released.
