Where's the cheapest anyone has found some range duty 10mm ammo?

Was looking around on AmmunitionToGo.com and there is 500 rounds of UMC for $249.00.  That's about the best I can found at this point.  They also have Hornady XTP for $16 per 20.

Some bulk 180 grain FMJ from cabelas:

300 rounds for $!79
600 rounds for $329
1200 rounds for $619

Doesn't really say much about it other than bulk.

It is time you start reloading, brotha!

If you want some full power range ammo...Georgia Arms Canned Heat is good, and cheaper than DT, SilverTip, etc.

BTW, I think that the Cabela's stuff is Remanufactured.

yea, i do to and I wouldn't buy it, just posted it up for info.

shit, i don't have time to reload... i'd love to, i have all kinds of stuff that would be much more cost effective to reload but time doesn't allow it, don't even know how to do it so i'd have to figure it all out.

Picked up a 50 rounder of CCI Blazer from Academy for $22.95... that wasn't too bad a price.

Unfortunately, it's only a .40 S&W load.

yea, i get that.  i was just talking about it for practice ammo...  i'm not a 'competitor' or anything and i keep the good stuff locked up with a mag ready to go for when it's needed or when I'm out hunting or something like that.  I use my 45s for daily duty.

Same.

I wish there were full power loads on the shelves. Like I really bought a Delta Elite and soon a Glock 20 SF to shoot .40 S&W.

Actually Blazer 10mm is a bit better than a short load since it comes with a 200 grain bullet.  Power level is down but at least its using a real 10mm bullet instead of a target pellet.

well, we can 'play' with what's on the shelf and leave the good stuff for the shtf scenario...  although a little practice with hot stuff won't hurt either.

I second Georgia Arms, but they have been backordered forever now.  I've had 400rds of 10mm FMJ on order since November.  They are waiting on brass from Starline, as I understand.

I was reading some stuff and it looks like Winchester has some decently hot loads....  not sure if they're readily stocked or not.

Yeah, the Silvertips are pretty much full power 175 grain loads.

The silvertip is certainly a mid range loading but it has an excellent reputation when used as a defensive loading.

What's wrong with ordering online?  I get all my ammo (whatever I don't reload that is) online, including what's normally available on local store shelves.  It's cheaper and I don't drive down there just to find that they're out or don't have the quantity I'm looking for and best of all, I don't have to deal with moronic remarks about 10mm from the short bussers working there.  Both Doubletap and Reeds have filled my orders quickly.  And Reeds loads the Silvertip bullet to 10mm velocity.

nothing wrong with online.  i buy most of my good stuff online, for all calibers.  but sometimes when you run out, you may need a good local place to pick some up.

Gold Dots, XTPs, Golden Sabers, Barnes.....the usual stuff.  They do have heavyweight hard-cast lead loads, but they list them as such, so there is no reason to worry.

I think its the 200grn and 230 grn that are the hardcast
