Just wondering the difference between these two? Which is better to shoot, does one do more wear and tear on the firearm?

Thicknesses of jackets may vary, not just between TMJ (TMC) and FMJ, but also among bullets with each.  Should be no difference to your firearm.  The only true difference i'm aware of is that FMJ is not truly FMJ.  The base of the bullet is exposed lead.  Not so with TMJ or TMC or encapsulated or some other terms.  The problem is now, I have a couple boxes of Horny FMJs that have enclosed bases.  *shrug*

The only real difference should be the abscence of leading with TMJ/BEB/TMC, etc
