Went up on the hill for a little trigger time. I had swapped out the rear sight on an AR and was checking the zero. All was fine with the AR after a slight adjustment of the front sight.

So then on to the snubby. I had decided to go ahead and shoot the HP Defence ammo in the cylinder (PMC Eldorado Starfire 38 Special +P 125JHP).
Bang Bang Bang Bang FIZZEL..............SHIT... It was kind of a fast string , like you would do for an aggressive assailant , shoot till the threat is neutralized.  I'm glad I noticed it right away and that it didn't happen in the middle of the string....OUCH.
It came right out with a few taps of the hammer and a wooden dowel when I got back to the house.  It was a first for me and with factory ammo no less....

Be careful and don't get ahead of yourself.....

I reload most of my ammo these days, and thats always been one of my biggest concerns. My personal QC steps are such that unless I was falling asleep while loading, the possibility is nil. I'm more worried about a squib with factory ammo than anything.

I'll be 55 this summer and other than the occasional 22 dud I've never had a squib.

Buy that lottery ticket now. I think the odds are better for most people to win the lottery than get a squib factory round
