| What is the best size ammo can to store factory boxed 45acp ammo in? I have a little bit of every brand, but they are all 50rd packs. I just want to start sticking some away for a rainy day and want a good way to store it. Thanks |
| 50cal cans is what I use for loose rounds. Boxes of ammo go in SAW ( FAT50 ) cans. I don't have much in the way of pistol so I can't tell you for sure, but I did have 1K rounds of loose 45 in 50cal can and it still had about an 1-2" from the top of the can. Heavy bastard though. |
The only other thing I will add to his post is I have about 2-3 dessicate packets or silica gel packets in mine. |
