Has anyone fired any of the corbon DPX 115gr 9mm loads through a Kimber or other 1911 in 9mm? I was wonder how well the feed through the pistol. I have fired many 147gr HP ranger.federal, and golddot all those feed perfectl so far. I was thinking of givein a few boxes of the DPX 115gr ammo try. Thnaks for any info!

I've shot the 185gr load through my 1911, and it feeds without any problems. Sorry - it's not exactly what you were looking for - but maybe close enough. It sounds like your pistol feeds most ammo just fine, so buying a box to try wouldn't be a big risk IMO.

On the other hand - Gold Dot's (for example) already work very well, and the DPX ammo is quite a bit more expensive. Any reason you're looking to switch? Cost does factor in to the ammo choice, but as long as the bullet is on the recommended list and works well in my pistol, I'd look to get the one most readily available and cheapest.

The ranger and golddot are both very good loads but I have been shooting the X-bullets out of my 357pistol I use for huntng and the performance has been great on wildhogs.I have really been happy and desided why not try some in my 9mm 1911. Price is high for sure but I don't shoot 500rds a year of them so I can live with their cost.
